Play music and choose a speaker

These controls are in the native Pixel Brite app.

  1. Set music quality

In Settings, choose Original / Lossless or an Adaptive mode. Set Music on Wi-Fi and Music on Cellular separately where available.

  2. Play an album

Open Music, choose an album, and press Play. Use Now Playing to see and manage the queue.

  3. Choose a speaker

Open Now Playing → Choose Speaker to move the queue and position to a nearby Pixel Brite speaker.

Use Original / Lossless to preserve source quality. Adaptive modes use less bandwidth and adjust compressed audio quality as the connection changes.

Listening on the move

The native apps start with Original on Wi-Fi and adaptive quality on cellular. You can change each setting independently. Audio continues with the phone locked, and the system media controls let you pause or skip a track.

Supported speakers

Pixel Brite can control compatible Klipsch and Yamaha audio devices directly. Pixel Satellite adds speaker playback to a computer or Raspberry Pi connected to a stereo or USB DAC.

Keeping an album for later

Download music before going offline. The Downloads screen shows progress and lets you remove saved files when you need the space.
