Shostakovich
A mind for your music.
Find connections in the sound itself. Turn favorite songs into a playlist, or keep listening when an album ends.
Named for the composer who worked out music in his mind before putting it on the page.
Keep the Music Going
Keep listening after the queue ends.
When an album, playlist or queue ends, similar music follows automatically. Choose individual songs or whole albums in Playback Preferences. You can also shuffle the order of albums while keeping each album’s songs in order.
Autoplay is on by default for analyzed music. You can turn it off in playback settings.
Start a new queue with Play Similar Music from a song’s menu or Play Similar Albums from an album. In Music, Play from History finds recommendations from recent or earlier listening.
Create a Playlist
Find more music like your favorite songs.
Start with one song or choose a few. Set the playlist length, review the suggested songs, remove or reorder them, and save the result. Your starting songs are included.
For an existing playlist, choose Add Similar Songs, set how many songs to add and review them before saving.
Offline & Multiple Sources
Keep discovering across libraries and offline.
Apple apps find music across connected server libraries. Downloaded songs with music analysis are available for playlists and autoplay offline. Online, available server streams are included too.
The web player finds music on the server you’re connected to. Saved playlists use one server; autoplay in Apple apps can continue across connected libraries.
Enable Shostakovich in Music settings on Apple apps. In the web player, enable music analysis in Playback Preferences. Set playlist length and autoplay preferences in the same settings.
